Garry Hobbs

I trained as a textile designer graduating from Middlesex Polytechnic as it then was. I spent some time in London working on large scale work in the East End before moving to Norfolk. Only in the past five years have I seriously returned to making art. My work is inspired by overheard conversations, snippets of information, found images, emotions, conjunctions and coincidences. Current preoccupations are kissing, rituals, obsessions and the figure. My love is to draw, my desire is to express something of my fascination with the world we walk through and find the beauty and mystery in equal measure.
